Upon leaving the Borough Market I was blessed with the opportunity to marvel at St. Paul’s Cathedral upon dusk. Breathtaking moment!
Hasta la Próxima…
Over the Christmas holiday I had the chance to visit the Borough Market located on Southwark St. in London. If you’re into food markets or if you’re a foodie then you’ll find yourself in Heaven! The market is visually appealing and offers various Local and International delicacies, not to mention that you can eat lunch/dinner while at the market.
My favorite stalls: Brindisa Spanish foods, La Pampa (argentinian empanadas), Fleur de Sel (french salt).
In the end I bought a bouquet of delicacies and had a picnic in my living room!
Hasta la Próxima!
Today I had the opportunity to visit the Photographer’s Gallery in London, every time I go to a major city I make it my duty to find a gallery that will expose me to a new lens, way of thinking or simply that will transport me to a different era. Bulls eye!
“Shoot!” did just that… An exhibition on photography post WW1, in which normal subjects that attended the local fair grounds would participate on a shooting game to hit a target. Upon hitting the bulls eye the participant would receive a picture of themselves.
It was interesting to see the different faces, expressions, determination, and even frustration of the shooters through the pictures.
At the end of it all I was able to take home a target bullseye filled with holes, sadly I never hit the target despite all 9 attempts… But I leave with the memory of a great afternoon at the Photographer’s Gallery in which I too became a subject of the exhibition.
